| We
have had experience with showing our stallion at national level when he
was younger. We also did show jumping, cross country, eventing and
endurance riding (when we were also younger to).
Since then the transport business has taken over
and our daughter rides and competes our horses for us.
From the early days going around the shows, we
noticed that there was a wrong way and a right way to load horses and from
that we came to earn a bit of a reputation
for loading problem horses and would be called in where others have
failed.
We don’t mind if there is a problem as long as we
are informed before we go to load.
Having a fight means that the horse has won, we
load so that the horse or pony loads better the next time to the point
that it wants to load by itself.
This is where a smooth journey helps.
Every
“problem” horse has a story to tell, we just have to get to the bottom of
the problem, this can take 10 minutes or 2 or 3 hours but we get there,
you can even load a horse with a cup of tea but that’s another story.
